Açai berries are an incredible superfood: high in antioxidants, aid in digestion, energy and immune boosting, and assist in fighting all sorts of health issues. Mangoes too are loaded with nutrition. They also aid in digestion. They are good for your memory, help alkalize the body, and assist in fighting cancer. Mangoes are rich in iron and vitamin C, and good for your eyes and skin. I could go on and on, but needless to say, these fruits are a perfect pairing for nutrition!
- 1 package frozen açaí
- 2/3 cup almond, soy, hemp, rice or coconut milk or blend
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 small banana or 1/2 large
- 1 handful fresh spinach
- Blend will in a powerful blender like vitamix. You may need to use the tamper with all the frozen ingredients. The consistency should be thick like a soft serve ice cream.
- Pour smoothie in a bowl and add your toppings: roasted macadamia nuts, diced fresh mango, and shredded coconut
