Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon fillet with Herb mixture.  This is pictured served with a Roasted Broccoli side, & Fresh Herb, Tomato Quinoa Salad (see recipe under tab “side dish” or “salad” Right here folks is a perfect dinner: super high in protein, vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids, including your essential fatty acids which most people are incredibly low on.  Being deficient on these can lead to a variety of common health issues.  Both salmon and quinoa are great additions to your diet.  [ingredients title=”Ingredients”]

  • Whole skin-on salmon fillet or 4 individual portions
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp sea salt
  • fresh lemon cut into wedges
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese crumbles (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 400′
  2. In a small dish mix your herbs and salt. Add fresh ground pepper to taste
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil to make clean up easy.  Otherwise you can oil your baking sheet
  4. Place salmon fillet skin-side down on baking sheet
  5. Sprinkle herb mixture on salmon. drizzle with olive oil
  6. Top with feta if using
  7. bake uncovered for about 20-25 min.  Check thickest part before removing from oven to see that it flakes, but is not overdone.  Salmon will continue to bake for a bit when removed from oven
  8. Portion out on plates and squeeze a fresh lemon wedge over the top
