Who doesn’t love crispy melted cheese?!  I have been noticing parmesan crisps sold not only in the specialty food stores lately but also in all the major super markets. They are becoming quite popular as a Keto diet-friendly, gluten and grain-free crispy snack alternative to crackers.  I just love to top salads or soups with these fun little salty-savory crisps. You can of course just eat them plain, or eat them with dips, like guacamole or olive tapenade.  Try this simple recipe and save on the pricey store packaging. I like the light flavor of thyme added here, but you can also try cracked pepper, a little paprika, or some other spice or herb you like. All you need is fresh parmesan and 5 minutes 🙂

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp thyme

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400′. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 1 tablespoon of parmesan (at least 2 inches apart) on parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle a little thyme on top of each one.
  2. Bake for 4-5 minutes or until crispy and lightly browned. Let cool before eating.
