Cranberry Orange Ginger Smoothie

Woke up to bright sun peeking through on a frosty December morning in Seattle, Washington😊 Rare for this time of year in our usual rain forest. What a boost of energy from the gray, especially with a seasonal fruit and vegetable vitamin C packed smoothie! 🍊  

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain kefir or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup orange juice or 2 whole peeled large oranges
  • 1.5 cup ice
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 1 cup whole fresh cranberries
  • 1-2 inch piece fresh peeled ginger (more if you like)
  • 2 handful of spinach, kale or other greens
  • 1 yellow squash

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients in vitamin or powerful blender on “smoothie” setting.
